Gynaecology Seminar 2027
CHINESE HERBAL MASTERY
Gynaecology
Presented by Mary-Jo Bevin
May 2027 – Melbourne or livestream
Do you work in women’s health and want to treat gynecological conditions with more depth, confidence, and precision?
Join me over two days in Melbourne for this comprehensive seminar on Chinese herbal medicine for gynecology — from menstrual disorders to complex conditions like endometriosis, PCOS/PMOS, and fibroids.
Gynaecology is one of the richest areas of Chinese medicine, with centuries of clinical wisdom to draw on. Yet many practitioners feel they’re working with a limited toolkit, defaulting to the same few formulas, or holding back because they’re not sure of what is needed. Designed for both experienced herbalists and newer practitioners, this course is about building theoretical and practical clinical knowledge, and confidence to prescribe herbs for your gynaecology patients.
This seminar is for you if:
You know enough to treat, but not enough to feel certain. You reach for the same formulas because they’re safe, not because they’re always right. You might hold back on herbs when you know they’d help, because you’re not quite sure what to reach for or how to modify. You want to treat gynaecology with more nuance, more options and more precision — and you want to do it without second-guessing yourself every time.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned herbalist looking to go deeper, a practitioner who leans on acupuncture and wants herbs to feel more accessible, or a newer graduate building your clinical foundations from the ground up. If herbs still feel harder than they should, this is where that changes.

About Your Presenter:
I’m Mary-Jo Bevin, a Chinese medicine practitioner with over 20 years of experience specialising in women’s health, based in Melbourne’s inner east where gynecology forms the heart of my practice.
I didn’t plan to fall in love with herbs. I enrolled at RMIT intending to go into acupuncture research. But I had teachers who brought herbal medicine to life for me, who helped me get to know herbs as living things with personalities, who showed me how they work together in formulas, and how to shift and modify them.
Then I spent ten years studying and working alongside Steven Clavey, one of the most respected herbalists in the world. Watching, asking, treating, troubleshooting. Learning what the textbook says, and then learning what you actually do when the patient in front of you doesn’t match the textbook. I know that depth of mentorship is rare, and it’s why I teach the way I do, to pass forward the knowledge. that was passed to me with generosity and care.
I’ve presented at IICMC, Global Branches and AACMAC, and on the Heavenly Qi podcast. This seminar condenses two decades of practical clinical experience into one focused weekend, the kind of training I was lucky enough to absorb over many years, and wish I’d had from the start.
